Following the announcement of the inaugural Music Is King Concert last month, concert organisers Soulistic Music and U-Live Africa have announced the first wave of performers.
Headliners are: Nasty C, Lady Zamar, Burna Boy and Riky Rick.
SA hiphop giants Riky Rick and Nasty C will share the stage with Nigerian heavy hitter Burna Boy and South Africa’s sweetheart Lady Zamar. Black Coffee is planning a set which has never been seen before which will feature a long list of special guest performers and friends.
Nigerian born Dancehall / Reggae artist Burna Boy first made it to the SA charts with local collaboration hit ‘All Eyes on Me’ with rapper AKA. This award winning superstar has definitely set the bar high with his unique Afrofusion sound and having worked with huge names in the industry at the tender age of 21, he is here to stay. Currently on tour in the UK, Burna Boy is excited to bring a special set to the Music Is King stage.
Speaking on his line up selection, Black Coffee had this to say: “Having dreamt of Music Is King for so long, it’s great to see it finally come alive. I have had an intense yet amazing year supported largely by my fans here at home. And what better way to celebrate than right here in Joburg over the festive period with my people. Right now my team and I are working on an insane production with an even crazier line-up featuring some of my industry friends. It’s gonna be one wild Musical night to end off the year“.
Audiences can look forward to a unique stage, visual and audio production as well as some more surprises on the line up, to be announced soon.
In addition to the line-up, Music Is King is proud to announce Hunter’s, Pick n Pay, Channel O and 947 as official event partners.
Music Is King set to take place at the TicketPro Dome in Johannesburg this December, is an international concert experience brought to us by internationally acclaimed DJ & producer, Black Coffee.
