Feel Good Series presents UMI Festival, the mother of all Feel Good Series parties at Victoria Yards on Saturday the 23rd of February.

The event starts from 3pm until midnight. The micro-festival marks the start of something new, with a line-up that includes four live acts and 8 DJs, including Yanga Yaya, Darkie Fiction, DJ Doowap, Muzi, BlaqKongo and Melo B.

Launched in July 2017, Feel Good Series is a monthly rooftop party hosted in Johannesburg’s inner city, that has fast become an unmissable standout on the local event circuit. Featuring an eclectic selection of sounds that range from hip-hop to afro-beats, dancehall, and more, the monthly event includes a highlight live performance from an emerging artist at every event. The party has fast grown to serve a loyal community of around hundreds of Feel Gooders – an eclectic mix of young, hip and fashionable urban black consumers, who either set, drive and shift, or are on the cusp of local and international trends and tastes.

UMI takes the ethos of the Feel Good Series and ups the ante. The micro music and lifestyle festival will be hosted at Victoria Yards, transforming the space into a creative fun house of style and music that will feature encore performances from past Feel Good Series artists and DJs. As a special feature of the micro-festival, and following the community-oriented idea of ‘our music festival’, Feel Good Series’ loyal community were offered the opportunity to ‘Curate our Line Up’, with a call to action that saw high engagement online.

With the first UMI micro-festival, Feel Good Series continues to create curated, relevant experiences, venturing into something new and consistently finding fresh ways to make us feel good.

The full festival line-up is as follows: Muzi, Yanga Yaya, Blaqkongo, Melo B, Spoken Priestess, Amazon, Scorebeatz, Adillxh, SoKool, Darkie Fiction, Dj Doowop, Mystikal Ebony
